I went to the Smokys a couple of weeks ago and we hiked total of 27 miles in 5 days. At the end of each hike was some kind of waterfall. The last day we decided on Ramseys Cascades because it was the most strenuous hike we scheduled. 4 miles there at a 2100 ft rise. It took about 3 hours to get there, all the while hauling my 30 lbs of camera equipment on my back. Well, as they say...nothing worthwhile is easy. Each hike was different and unbelievable in its own way. We always were anxious to get to the end to see what awaited us. Although some were not as spectacular as others, we were always thrilled and spent an hour or so admiring the landscape before heading back.
Here is Ramseys Cascades. During certain times there is much more water coming down, unfortunately we were not there at such a time. Nevertheless, I was happy to see it.
