I like the pose, the color, the border, but I'm not crazy about the blank right side. It's uninteresting and doesn't add to the photo.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I agree, always try to crop forward where the person/object is facing...in most cases. I do like the shot though.

DOF is just enough to separate the subject from background, yet the bg is still busy enough to be a distraction. Her pose isn't bad, but it does appear as if she's recoiling from something. I also agree the crop could be tighter.

Can't help feeling it's a bit sinister. Having all that space behind her creates tension, especially given the outdoors "jungly" nature of it, darkness, blur. As Sisyphus points out, her pose is quite cramped and she looks a bit vulnerable, especially with the diminutive effect of putting her head quite low in frame, and cutting in at her hip (joints are generally not as good as mid-limb). The harsh frontal lighting on her face is also uncomfortable to look at. The camera seems to have focused on her near shoulder, and the depth-of-field seems inadequate to keep her face sharp. A smaller aperture or more carefully directed (e.g. use a different focus point, spot focus and recompose) or manual focus would have helped. Oh - nice haircut :-). Cheers, Tony

Her cheeks and forehead seem too bright (making them flat without detail), the color balance seems a bit off, and yes she should be at the right side of the photo instead of the left. This is because people "read" (yes even a photo) from left to right.

I don't feel the processing added to this photo.the colors just seem way orange for me, but she is cute;)
