I told my mom, he was going to make some young girl a great husband. Fast forward a few years, I wanted CJ to join the youth choir, he said he would if I joined the adult. So we made a deal. A few weeks into the choir year, Curt, a mutual friend, and I went out for drinks after rehearsal. Our mutal friend made sure it came up in conversation that I was willing to date someone older and Curt was willing to date someone older. That Sunday the youth choir was having a pizza party, I asked Curt if he would like to come. He figured he had to eat sometime. The next week he asked me to pick him up for choir practice, we went out for drinks again. He interrogated me about marriage #1 and my brief stint moving out to Washington State, asked me out for Friday night. The next practice I picked him up again, when we pulled into the farm he asked if I wanted to watch how to AI a cow (artificial insemination) I said sure. It really was interesting, when all was done, I asked, "when you going to offer her a cigarette" he says he really fell in like with me then. The next weekend I cooked for him, he says he fell in love with me the minute he saw me in an apron. The rest is 19 years of history 1 year dating 18 years marriage. Well yeah, especially if that was all you were wearing. Belmondo wrote in post #7966229 I am a totally unapologetic fan of Cat's smile. I actually miss her old avatar with that ear-to-ear grin that first endeared her to me. Now, I find there's more to her than just an irresistible smile. That kid has charms. Interesting choice of words. short5 wrote in post #7966510 Yeah that was fun My favorite of Leyla and I I guess I should add to my story. Leyla and I were married under a beautiful tree on a property her parents used to lease part of. It was in the front yard of the manor house that used to be owned by John Tilghman. A pretty fancy affair all put together by Leyla's mom mostly for her friends. Our only stipulation was we wanted all our friends there and a party. Otherwise we would have been fine with a court wedding. We had a lot of friends and a big party. It got rowdy, too rowdy At least one engagement ring was tossed into a corn field. Leyla says everyone got into fights but us. There was some brawling, and pistol whipping.... yeah some friends. Actually they are all great just too many together and too much booze. I don't think we went to parties after that lol. Yes, that is a great photo of you two. cfpackerfan wrote in post #7966571 New (old) avatar. Just for the Chief. Wedding photo, and old avatar, you trying to give the guy a heart attack. Nice crap. Cute dogs. cfpackerfan wrote in post #7966945 And I hate to bear bad news, but I share the good news with you, so I guess I should share the bad too. Samantha was brought back to the shelter today. The elderly woman who adopted her yesterday said that she doesn't have a fenced yard, so she has to take Samantha out on a leash to go potty, and that she is too shy and won't go in front of anyone. I'm sure that is a workable issue, but understand that it would be hard for an elderly woman to deal with. It breaks my heart that poor Sam had to go back to the shelter. I'm working on something right now to maybe get her out by Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed. Sorry to hear that Cat, but she is a good looking dog, I am sure she will find a home. short5 wrote in post #7967010 Darn it, I always play my chances wrong I am hoping you know I am messing with you, dry does not transmit in text <---dry guy.
