That's what happens to me when my back spasms. I limp and all of a sudden I have to stop right where I am at because moving my left leg forward to take a step causes so much pain.

So, how do you treat it? When it's happening, I can feel the muscles actually knotting up in my back.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Oh hush...you know that's not all you know. I bet the first kitchen Spanish words your learned were "put some extra floor spices on his steak", "that soup needs a huge hocking luigi", "lick the mayo off the bread".....stuff like that.

:lol: And that was a good one.

Chief, I say in a thread like that....if someone would get offended, they should not go into the thread. I always expect to get off the wall comments when I post a shot....but I never get offended....it's all fun and games I say.;)

+1 Same could be said for here.

I have no idea what's going on with it, but I literally had to stop in my tracks for a while today while Lois held an ice pack on my back. I was on my way to the sofa, and I got to a point where I couldn't take another step. I felt really silly, but it was that bad.

I've been icing it since afternoon (and taking the neat little pills the doctor gave me), so I'm getting along okay now.

I'm a little concerned about tomorrow. I'm having two big file cabinets delivered, and I have to do some furniture rearranging in my office before they come.

That should prove interesting.

Probably should be moved by someone else. I say you slip the delivery guys a $20 and have them move the furniture.

Evening folks. Went to see Angels and Demons tonight. It was good so long as you don't try to read to much into it.

Can you get someone to move stuff for you? I am thinking that you should not be aggravating an already owied back. [/dr. mom]

800 mg advil at 8 hour intervals. Get Lois to gently massage the afflicted area with an electronic vibrator. Use a heating pad on it. That always helps me.

If you move furniture you can not complain:-| What pills did he give you?Sounds like they are not working. What is the diagnosis? Bulged disk, herniated? If you don't know you at a minnimum need a xray and preferably an MRI. Pain management is wonderful when you are not in pain but sucks if you need it.

That's a generous offer, Zane, but....but......you smell like horses.

j/k

It's a fine smell.

BTW, we have a big polo facility not far from here. I've often thought that would be a wonderful place to go take some pictures.

I certainly do:lol: I am uploading a polo shot now. This is a photography forum darn it:-|

Well, my injury is always on the lower left side of my back. I take naproxen perscription for muscle relaxation. And one time I was sent to physical therapy for the injury and I do the same exercises I learned there.

Donkey kicks - lean over the back of a chair or couch resting on your arms. Pick up the leg on the side of the back that hurts and bend up and forward. Then slowly kick out behind you. Return to the bend and repeat.

Arm pulls - I have a piece of elastic/rubber material that you thread on a door using both door knobs. Stand facing door o||o <--door knobs...and as you hold each end of the elastic material, pull towards your chest.

Last thing would be to walk backwards on a treadmill....going 1 to 2 mph...holding on to the rails of course....for about 25 minutes at a time.

Hope not. Mom's here, so I have to fulfill that role of host.

She just went to bed, so I have a few minutes before the Sandman wallops me to sleep.
