In no particular order ....

Yosemite
Harmandir Sahib
Taj Mahal
The Maldivian reefs
The Okavango Delta
Florence

Home

Next time you're in the area, rent a car and take the drive up to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. It's about 150 or 200 miles from Yosemite on highway 4 in the Sierras. The park is very similar to Yosemite in many ways with one exception. It's so far from any major city that nobody knows about it and it's always nearly devoid of people. I actually kind of prefer that park over Yosemite anyway, and every time I go there it feels like I have the entire place to myself.

People are one thing that bug me about photography.....I'd love to go take pics of the mayan ruins at tulum and chichén itzá but I know they're swarming with people and I don't like pictures of things I've been itching to see for years cluttered with tourons.

Not necessarily. I've told lots of people about the place but still nobody goes there. It's way out in the middle of nowhere, and that apparently intimidates a lot of people.

Fella at work brought his G9 charger in, so I'm finally charging the batteries for my XTi. I am finding all sorts of lost things in my home on my quest to reunite with my charger.

Travel with Michael Jackson. Have him stand away from whatever you're trying to shoot, as people flock to him you can get all snap happy.

Whew, I didn't think I could solve that one for you. Might be time to break out Dr. Phil.

Ummm....maybe that would work except that I'd be tavelling with Michael Jackson and that guy freaks me right out!

I must confess I have shopped people out of pictures, heck I once shopped an entire tour bus out of a pic.

Sometimes people can make the picture.

I am always amazed with myself as I get increasingly annoyed with someone about 400 yards away from me for not getting out of my shot :-)

G'MAE all...IT'S AIDEN DAY!!!! I'll be scarce most of the weekend, will try to pop on a couple times with updated shots of the little guy though.

Don't you recognize a swimsuit when you see one?

I guess not. So you're the one in the frilly spotted swimsuit?

As an added bonus, you'll have some pretty good opportunities to get some shots of a lynch mob beating up the living mannequin.
