I wasn't th9inking textures, it was a cemetery for a local institution that is abandoned. Deb and I have gone to the buildings before, this was our first trip to the cemetery. There are few headstones, mostly numbered steel markers.

Rats. I bet there were some cool textures there.

I didn't realize how much your son really resembles you.

That is spooky, right after I posted that second picture I thought (for the very first time) how much Oliver looks like me in that picture.

And I hate to bear bad news, but I share the good news with you, so I guess I should share the bad too.

Samantha was brought back to the shelter today. :( The elderly woman who adopted her yesterday said that she doesn't have a fenced yard, so she has to take Samantha out on a leash to go potty, and that she is too shy and won't go in front of anyone.

:( I'm sure that is a workable issue, but understand that it would be hard for an elderly woman to deal with.

It breaks my heart that poor Sam had to go back to the shelter. I'm working on something right now to maybe get her out by Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed.

That is sad . . . but he's cute, charming and has your support . . .

Work around rescue and you need to know about all sizes and breeds, even if you specialize in one.

I run fast and climb good. I am counting on these things.

What about sleep? Gotta do that sometime, right? :D

short5 wrote in post #7967081 (external link)
Awww cwap, then again when do I sleep?

So climb somewhere he can't follow and sleep there . . .

thomascanty wrote in post #7967242 (external link)
So, Cat. What happens to the adoption fee when someone brings a dog back? Do they get their money back?

Usually no.

Wow I guess i uploaded the unedited one. Horizon is a bit off:shock:

Gah! Where did it go?!
Alright....empty out your pockets people :|.

For the thread to be completely void of people...except for about what...5 people.

The horsey set have it . . . din'tcha see Zane's picture?

And they won't be gone. They'll all be sitting around the campfire posting frantically as they try to outdo each other. I expect that TPBM Chat 26 will last about 5 days . . .

Along with Sid at the Friday night BBQ.

Going to the BBQ? Sure that's safe?

(Zenfolio isn't loading for me here; trusting the image will show up at that link).

Good to hear she did well, T.D. Awww and she is a long hair Dachi.

Sorry it didn't work out for Sam, hope this weekend turns up her forever home.

I can sure picture all of this group sitting around with laptops in the same room/porch chatting in here as well as to each other though, if WIFI was available.

Yeah, that. And using someone's data plan if it isn't.

sevillafox wrote in post #7968873 (external link)
People are one thing that bug me about photography.....I'd love to go take pics of the mayan ruins at tulum and chichén itzá but I know they're swarming with people and I don't like pictures of things I've been itching to see for years cluttered with tourons.

Get a 5-6 stop ND filter and a tripod . . .

JWright wrote in post #7969278 (external link)
What makes you think we won't be in the 26th iteration before the meet-up? ;)

I had the same problem at the fly-in. I'd try to get a shot of an aircraft with nobody in it and as soon as I'd get it composed some idiot would walk right in front of me. I've even seen them do it after looking right at me and knowing full well I was about to take a shot...

Yeah, isn't it nice how people who have no idea who you are are so eager to let you take their picture, saving you from having just some dull old [monument|aircraft|scenic wonder|train] in your photo.

We gave up trying to compose this shot as the "Park Photographer" would not get out of the picture. I have no problem with the tourists adding to the shot.

Why didn't you ask him to get out of the shot?

JIM!
This is the place in Joseph that I was telling you about. You need to go eat there!!!! In this pic it the restraunt across the street, named Stubborn Mule. Also Joseph is the little town right before you get to the park. It's about 3 miles before state park.

For some reason that makes me think of this store in Oatman, AZ:

I know. I'm still learning.
When I said 'I don't do small dogs' I just meant that I've never had one that lived with me, foster or permanent.
