Too bad they didn't put the names on the markers. I wonder if there are any records left somewhere that tells who the numbers belong to.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I know. I'm still learning.
When I said 'I don't do small dogs' I just meant that I've never had one that lived with me, foster or permanent.

I was raised with big dogs, my wife with small dogs. And I got to admit, there are advantages top smaller dogs. Small dogs = small poop. I see my neighbor out there with his shovel and bag scooping the stuff up and his mastif type dog drops a massive load. With our Jack Russel I don't even bother cleaning it up. Within a day it drys up and feeds the lawn.

So today it is 87 and sunny; tomorrow, the first day of the pool being open, is supposed to be 75 and thundery...fooey!

Hmm.. got to open our pool I guess.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I have no idea what's going on with it, but I literally had to stop in my tracks for a while today while Lois held an ice pack on my back. I was on my way to the sofa, and I got to a point where I couldn't take another step. I felt really silly, but it was that bad.

I've been icing it since afternoon (and taking the neat little pills the doctor gave me), so I'm getting along okay now.

I'm a little concerned about tomorrow. I'm having two big file cabinets delivered, and I have to do some furniture rearranging in my office before they come.

That should prove interesting.

That sucks. Still nothing helping? Edna has back problems and the only thing that helps take the pain down is a massage coupled with a heating pad.

poppie guy wrote in post #7967497 (external link)
800 mg advil at 8 hour intervals. Get Lois to gently massage the afflicted area with an electronic vibrator. Use a heating pad on it. That always helps me.

I'm not the only person recommending that, yay.

Wow I guess i uploaded the unedited one. Horizon is a bit off:shock:

Nice shot, even though it's a bit sideways. That's one crazy sport. :)

My chair just broke.

We have a chair in my office that is broken, but doesn't really appear to be broken unless you really look at it. We use it as a prank chair on unsuspecting visitors. They'll sit down, and the moment they try to lean back (all of our office chairs are reclining chairs) the back gives out and they fall out of the chair. Evil, but funny.

People are one thing that bug me about photography.....I'd love to go take pics of the mayan ruins at tulum and chichén itzá but I know they're swarming with people and I don't like pictures of things I've been itching to see for years cluttered with tourons.

Two 9 stop ND filters and a 30 minute exposure? :D

Hahaha, awesome. I wonder how that person got the picture of the bird on the camera though.

Kings Canyon is sort of the same way. I headed up to the General Sherman sequia which has a nice parkinglot, grabbed all the gear and just past the General Sherman tree, which has lots of tourons, there is the Alta peak trailhead. Once on the trail you quickly leave all the tourons behind. Two days of hiking and not a single soul. It was like we had the whole Seiras to ourselves.

I routinly take a couple being careful to keep the same settings and camera angle. Makes cropping much easier. This pic had quite a few people on the bridge, but it looked much better empty.

<snip bridge>

Shoot two, three pics several seconds apart. People move and it makes shopping them easy.

Sounds like an alien race.

Did you just use layers and masking to remove the people?

This is the place in Joseph that I was telling you about. You need to go eat there!!!! In this pic it the restraunt across the street, named Stubborn Mule. Also Joseph is the little town right before you get to the park. It's about 3 miles before state park.

We always had small dogs when I was a kid. The biggest dogs I've ever had were Ashley and now Minnie and I'm not sure they even qualify as medium sized, though they're both easily twice as big as any dogs we had when I was a kid.

There is a larger headstone at the front that lists over 900 names on it, but not numbered. Family members, I believe can find out numbers and have headstones put up.

I'd just cut the same area from the other shot that did not have a person standing there and align it and feather the edges. It's really quick.

As a kid we had German Shepards. Nice dogs but you had to be careful where you played and more than once you'd end up with dog poo squishing between your toes. Very gross.

My wife and I have ad 4 dogs so far. 2 Basenji's and two Jack Russel's. The Basenji's I guess are small medium dogs but the Jacks are small, 15 pounds or so.

I've seen that one on AFV. Dogs are so stupid-smart.

Nice! What kind of institution was this? I think you've mentioned before, but I forget. Was it a mental hospital? Or one of those old TB hospitals?

Good morning everyone. I am really enjoying the start to my long weekend. I am taking the daughter out to the bamboo garden in a little while to see what we can come home with.
