Well, yeah.

Had a lot of fun yesterday, but all that walking/sightseeing did wear me out. We had lunch at The Grill on the Alley, and our server was saying that within the last week, he had served Tom Hanks and Jerry Seinfeld in the very booth in which we were sitting. We ended up at the Beverly Hills Hotel for high tea at the Polo Lounge, and saw Valerie Bertinelli as well as a whole gaggle of familiar looking people. Our server told us that Nicole Kidman had reservations, but was a no-show.

I tend not to be impressed by celebrity, but my wife and her friend were in 7th heaven. I was impressed by the lineup of cars in valet parking at the Beverly Hills Hotel....lots of Bentleys, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, etc. Our bug-splattered Lexus was definitely out of its element.

We did see the paparazzi in action... I don't know who the celebrity was, but there was a big black Bentley parked outside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and there were about 20 guys jockeying for position, all of them with cameras and video equipemnt. I was reminded of circling vultures. We didn't stick around to see who they were waiting to ambush, but we'll probably see it in the Enquirer next week.

The women did a little shopping.....saw a dress for $10,200 that looked like a big ball of lint and used dental floss.

Just a nice day.

Diane, I am very impressed with this shoot. Great poses, love the M&M's.

Dancing happy....all the big wigs are gone today, I think I'm going to keep you all on in the background today. Like Jim and Terri, I'm sinking quick into vacation mode. I have to get commissions figured next week and the batch made before I leave but after next week's payroll. I know I will have to stay very focused, so today, I have decided to stay unfocused.

Well, apparently the lady who owned the mine lived there. Where the arch was used to be a tower...it was twice as high...four stories. The arch used to be a fancy doorway. Apparently she used to watch the mine workers from the tower. And, on another side there are holes in the bricks that they supposely shot people from....I'm hearing this from kids though....

yes, it did. And yes, I can. I can see pretty much everything except photobucket and imageshack.

Oh, and speaking of leg warmers....Ian's set of babylegs came in yesterday. He's SO cute today wearing a little onsie with the natural cotton colored organic pair I got.

Advice please..... It looks like my wife will be going to Lebanon for 3 weeks in July for vacation with a friend whose parents live there. I need to get her a point and shoot and have no idea where to begin. I thought about a G10 but don't know how easy it is to use, plus it seems a little expensive for a P&S. Other than that, any suggestions?

It's funny, your story about sitting in Jerry Seinfeld's booth at the restaurant is timely. Yesterday, we were having the Yukon worked on, and while sitting in the waiting room, were watching TV. There was a Seinfeld rerun on, and it was the one where George buy's Jo(h)n Voight's car and is SO excited about it.
