I'd be more impressed if my waiter told me that you and Chet had been sitting at my table earlier, than with any of the actors you've mentioned so far.

I'm game Chief, get your knee highs on and let's go.

Well, yeah.

Had a lot of fun yesterday, but all that walking/sightseeing did wear me out. We had lunch at The Grill on the Alley, and our server was saying that within the last week, he had served Tom Hanks and Jerry Seinfeld in the very booth in which we were sitting. We ended up at the Beverly Hills Hotel for high tea at the Polo Lounge, and saw Valerie Bertinelli as well as a whole gaggle of familiar looking people. Our server told us that Nicole Kidman had reservations, but was a no-show.

I tend not to be impressed by celebrity, but my wife and her friend were in 7th heaven. I was impressed by the lineup of cars in valet parking at the Beverly Hills Hotel....lots of Bentleys, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, etc. Our bug-splattered Lexus was definitely out of its element.

We did see the paparazzi in action... I don't know who the celebrity was, but there was a big black Bentley parked outside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and there were about 20 guys jockeying for position, all of them with cameras and video equipemnt. I was reminded of circling vultures. We didn't stick around to see who they were waiting to ambush, but we'll probably see it in the Enquirer next week.

The women did a little shopping.....saw a dress for $10,200 that looked like a big ball of lint and used dental floss.

Just a nice day.

Sounds like an interesting day. :D

Dancing happy....all the big wigs are gone today, I think I'm going to keep you all on in the background today. Like Jim and Terri, I'm sinking quick into vacation mode. I have to get commissions figured next week and the batch made before I leave but after next week's payroll. I know I will have to stay very focused, so today, I have decided to stay unfocused.:D

Yay for unfocused! Well, unless you are shooting.

Wow, lots of glitz sightings, eh Chief?

It's funny, your story about sitting in Jerry Seinfeld's booth at the restaurant is timely. Yesterday, we were having the Yukon worked on, and while sitting in the waiting room, were watching TV. There was a Seinfeld rerun on, and it was the one where George buy's Jo(h)n Voight's car and is SO excited about it.

I'd be more impressed if my waiter told me that you and Chet had been sitting at my table earlier, than with any of the actors you've mentioned so far.

The funny part is, we were sitting in the lounge, and everyone coming and going from the restaurant had to pass right by where we were sitting. Lois and her friend were sitting on a banquette against the wall, and I was sitting across from them on a chair facing the wall. They could see everyone from their vantage point, while I could only see them (I had the best view, IMHO). It was almost funny seeing their reactions as the various people passed back and forth, but not nearly so funny as their efforts to get me to turn around and stare. I absolutely refused and spent the bulk of my time eating (that's what we were there for), and checking my iPhone for messages.

The aura of self-importance was heavy in the air yesterday. Those are some very entitled people.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Oh, and on Wool's subliminal suggestion to get others to post, Permie's unfounded fear of us getting tired of dog shots, and Terri posting the altered Garrison quote, I think it should be post your "Exceptional Pets Day". So post and post often...

Bax! I will post a couple in a few.

Morning all, had to run Blondie to school this morning and stick around with her wiggly little brother for their little program....and in the process ran him to the bathroom once and got a wet lap shortly after.

You should have gone while you were in there with him then you would not have had an accident.

Thanks for sharing. It is neat to hear how the you other folk live. Do all mods get the Berverly Hills life option or is that a unique perk to your position? I am pretty sure Jon spends evenings at the yacht club. He is just quiet about it.
