G'morning. I skipped going to the beach today with Dan, Chris, Kona and Maggie.

I talked to Dan a little bit ago and he said somehow Kona figured out how to open his backpack and bite through a 2 litre bottle of water. Fortunately (since they were in Chris's car) most of the water went into the backpack. Chris pulled over and they cleaned it out. Took a lot longer to get to the beach though. Now you know why we have bars in our jeep

Thanks everyone for your comments on my new lens/fleurs.

Sorry I removed most of the pet photos due to the majority but...

Oh, and on Wool's subliminal suggestion to get others to post, Permie's unfounded fear of us getting tired of dog shots, and Terri posting the altered Garrison quote, I think it should be post your "Exceptional Pets Day". So post and post often...

He's beautiful. He's got some of the best lines I've seen on a lab.
btw...did you get my rambling phone message yesterday?

gjl711 wrote in post #8010794 (external link)
I only have one pet picture available from work.
You guys have seen this but I'll repost anyway.

I haven't seen it. What sort of a dog is he.

YEAH - your house is going to be crazy with two fanged tornados and guido.

no kidding. Fortunately Hale only comes 4 days before the kids fly back. Otherwise it may have driven Tif to the brink!

John texted me at work to let me know that you had it delivered. I am glad that it did.

thanks

It was always due on Thurday, but nothing was updated.

did it arrive ever?

What a huge tongue you pup has (especially with a macro lens)
it is huge...it's one thing the macro doesn't really enhance

We leave Monday...

Yay!! By the way, the kids have quite a bit of shopping to do when they get here (stroller ect so we aren't going to be able to make the zoo...). We have to get it all done and packed so we can leave the next day.

very nice Lisa. I think you should get it printed for the wall.

thanks

That is not a carve thing, it is an ear notch (what the Zoos do to keep track of which animal is which)

oh my gosh! Literally you made me laugh so hard I cried. I'm not sure whether to thank you for sharing this publicly though

Nice drawing, but I would not like Permi on my back.

hahahaha ah why not?

Spike (right) and Spanky (left)
Marky (The only time he is not getting into trouble)

awww my bread thief.
You know, I don't know that I've seen your other dog. I can't even remember her name now. gads. sorry.

I wonder if I have any photos of my pets?

aww I love your fur kids. Feel like they are mine. Specially Amikah and Vader since I was here from their babyhood.

Jon wrote in post #8011382 (external link)
Wow - at that rate, by the time he's 3, you'll need a new home!

I KNOW! I'm still considering naming it

Yep, being able to focus is always good. And those are very
good.
thanks

Tom - did you ever think your back problems might be a lingering souvenir of your earlier career in the ballet?

and LOL!

Yup.

I get annoyed when my 135 doesn't go wide enough (and there's not enough room for extensive foot-zoom.

Instead of changing lenses, I simply put the camera in manual mode, take lots of photos and then stitch them together in photoshop.

yeah...I think we're too picky. Want 1 lens to do everything for the cost of not much :D

I just found this old post tagged on my home PC... I went to Vegas for Christmas once, in 2003. It's exactly the same as any other day of the year. There was nothing special going on for the holiday. There weren't even all that many Christmas decorations up. The holiday that Vegas really celebrates is New Years Eve, and I wouldn't go anywhere year the Strip that night on a dare!

Me? I hadn't posted any yet. But, I will now...

LMAO

There's also Kutztown here....and yeah, very, very different. Around here the Oscar Meyer stuff is known as "german" bologna.

We're not quite to day 8, but its rumbling again and the kids want to go outside. I'm not seeing that work out too well.

Wrong. Wrong on SO many levels. I think I'm skeered.

Did I ever mention my former in-laws live in Terre Hill? I don't think Kutztown
is even in the same league...more of a chain store version....hehehe

There was a german deli in the town I grew up in and they had a luncheon meat called Cincinatti, I LOVED it. It was a kind of salami I think.
