oh by the way....you guys will be happy to hear that Calypso is as adoring as she used to be. Apparently she just had her nose out of joint for 4 months. She's been an angel for the last 2. (that shot was during her non-angel period) LOL

she's not. Actually she's the lightest of all of our cats and the smallest. Her fur is gigantic.

She grew for about 6months and we thought she was going to be giant. Then she just stopped. It was so weird. She's so petite you'd never know she was a maine coon.

Oh, and on Wool's subliminal suggestion to get others to post, Permie's unfounded fear of us getting tired of dog shots, and Terri posting the altered Garrison quote, I think it should be post your "Exceptional Pets Day". So post and post often...

Excellent idea!!! I'll post up a couple in a few minutes.

We are having blue skies, but the temperature is supposed to get up to 86!!!!! I better stop by Home Depot this afternoon and pick up a couple of fans. I don't like hot weather.:(

So far Tspin is on the small side, but just last night while he was laying down we both commented on how long his legs have gotten, I think he's about to catch up to them! He is 7.5 months now.

Cat's grow for 2 years. (well they can get fatter after that but their mature size is done by 2 years). But the majority of the growing takes place the first year with just a bit in height/broadening the 2nd. Calypso will be two in October so I think she's pretty much done.

It's all fur? Wow! Tupper weighed a ton even when he was a tiny kitten. He and Crystal were about four or five months old when I had them fixed. I took them to the vet in the same carrier since I only had one.

I put it on the receptionist desk when I checked in, then the nurse grabbed the carrier by the handle and lifted. And dropped it back down, muttering "How many cats do you have in there?!?"

Puck went a good 17 or so pounds in his hey day, Tspin might be about 6 pounds now. He was only 2 pounds at 13 weeks.

I wasn't sure how long they grow for, I thought it might only be a year. Puck was somewhere around 2 when I got him.

I haven't weighed Tupper in a few years, but he once tipped the scales at 36 pounds. He lost some weight since then, but I think he's gained a little back, so he's probably in that same neighborhood again. Yeah... He's a big boy!
