I tried to move my Canon AVI movie files over to Adobe Premiere 6 and I get the following error message:
Unable to open that file.
File uses an unsupported compression format.
Any ideas?

Do you have the most recent version of Apple QuickTime? I use it to open and view my AVI's and they come up fine. Have you tried ArcSoft VideoImpression 3, it will open AVI's aswell, I got it along with my A40.
