You might want to read the entire listing

Due to the nature of the items listed by KustomElectronics refunds are never offered under any circumstance!

In the guys favour he has got 231 feedbacks with 100% rating. I put a lot of faith in the feedback system. His photo's are reasonably clear and detailed enough to show any marks or cosmetic defects so he's not trying to hide anything. He also states in Q&A that he wants to keep the charger for his other 1D, He may have sold the second one earlier.
He also states he does not provide warranty ever for any of his items but still has 100% feedback so no one has had any issues. As far as I am aware there is no obligation to provide a warranty anyway.

I would say go for it but as others have mentioned, keep in mind when bidding you will need to purchase a charger. All software and manuals can be got from the internet or elsewhere pretty easily.

I have over 360 positive feedback with no negs on Ebay and I still would not expect people to pay high dollar prices for items without even a DOA warranty nor would I buy from a seller under those circumstances in this price range. If you arent intelligent enough to test your items and offer a refund if the item is DOA or insure your items against damage you arent giving your buyers a fair deal. The buyer however has to have equal intelligence NOT to buy from such sellers at price points equal to those willing to at least guarantee the item works properly in accordance to the description.

As far as I am concerned, unless the item sells dirt cheap that is a deal breaker, charger or no charger.

Until the last year, Ebay sellers could retaliate neg feedback with neg feedback or challenge feedback to have it reduced to a withdrawn neg. Having a large feedback profile doesnt necessarily mean the seller is great. It just means you have a higher probability of having a satisfactory transaction. But think how you would feel if you got that camera and the shutter was failing and you paid 800 bucks without a charger and other accessories and seller says, TOUGH! I never give refunds ever!

Aren't you taking his word for it though? Say you do test the camera and know it works just fine, then send it off insured. The shipper has no way of knowing if the camera worked, so unless the box is crushed, there is no recourse there. Say the guy gets the camera, sticks his finger in the mirror box and touches the shutter and it gets bent. He sends it back and wants a refund cause the shutter is broke? What you gonna do? It's your word against his word.

All transactions are trust based. Anyone can screw or try to screw anyone. Justifying dishonest sellers by making up possible scenarios where a buyer might try to rip off a seller is simply not acceptable business practice.

The way you imply it, Ebay should just allow anyone to sell any kind of junk with zero responsibility because buyers are not to be trusted.

I'm not implying anything, something very similar happened to me. I know the equipment was exactly as stated, I even made double sure the buyer understood this. He wanted a refund because it didn't work like he had a mental image of it working. What I am saying is, buyers change their minds, no matter how honest the seller is. What you gonna do? Your profit just went up in smoke in time and shipping charges and having to relist it.

I understand that there are people out there who will deliberately try to defraud but sometimes you got to stop thinking about all the possible negatives and look for the positives. With so many good feedbacks and good photo's to back it up and the sellers word on condition, sometimes you got to have some faith in humanity. If you are always suspicious you will pass up on so many good deals.
I sell a bit on Ebay, have 161 100% positive feedback and never offer a money back warranty regardless. I have bought and sold everything from antique porcelain to Rolex watches and never have had a problem. I don't care if the seller does not offer money back guarantee, I just look at the photos check his feedback ratings and ask him a few questions. If I am satisfied I will buy and never had a bad experience yet...touching wood as he says it : )

Cheers
