I've had a recent addiction to searching out some older churches north of Toronto and came across another nice older one built in 1880 on Woodbine Ave, North of 16th side road.

I had to do quite a bit of post processing on these to clone out some very dense power lines and also went for some different processing techniques to give the shots a bit of an antiqued look to match the spirit of the building...you can be the judge of whether I did a decent job of that...

Thanks for the feedback!

I have a couple of Topaz plug ins but didn't end up using any of them on these. Instead, I made duplicate layers, applied an infra red b&w treatment and then blended it in with the original for the second shot.

Cheers!

well they look great! A friend of mine is in love with Topaz - he uses it on everything. He is getting very good at it.

If the pavement were a bit darker on #2, I think it would be stunning. The sky is excellant.

Thanks for the additional feedback on #2.

I was thinking about your suggestion about darkening the pavement and then decided that since I gained some knowledge over the weekend about correcting perspective, I decided to redo the image from scratch, this time opting for a different sky that wasn't quite so surreal as the first one and continued with subduing the color by mixing it with an infra red layer.

Anyway, here's the result of a good few hours of work...
