giraffe....born about 9 weeks ago at our local zoo. Isn't she cute?

Her eye is freaking me out. It looks like the eye of one of those little gray aliens you hear about!

That is so precious :). Looks like you had strong sunlight to work with, but you captured this little guy quite nicely.

That is a beautiful picture! I like it a lot, and yea, giraffes have WICKED long toungues. Full grown adults have 18 inch tongues I believe. Crazy. They use them for picking leaves off trees for food.

Nice shot Maureen. I like the composition. Most people shoot these guys from the side to show how long the necks are, and they all look alike. I like how you got this one head on. . . good job.
