Hi all just wanted to introduce myself. I am the proud new owner of a G6 camera and so far I love it. I am new to the camera world for the most part. The most money I ever spent on a camera was 60$. Well I got tired of seeing my Dad and father inlaw taking awesome pictures of my son and all i had was a throw away haha. I have actually always been interested in photography, and seeing others photos, well hopefully someday I can take one of those breathtaking photos. Here are some first shots with my G6 on Auto mode I would like to share, any comments or opinions how to take a better shot is appreciated. Thanks JIM

Welcome to the forum! You have bought a very capable camera with a rich heritage. Stick around, you'll find a lot of tips here. Nice pic, by the way. Now you can get tons of great pictures of your son :)

Hi Jim, Welcome to the board. :D
I think the best advice I can give right now is to browse through the forum looking at photos that appeal to you and ask questions about the set up that led to the shot.
Get familiar with your camera, and read, read, read. Then Practice, practice, practice. Keep repeating these steps as needed.
Your individual style of shooting will come to you in time, after you decide what style of shots you like. ;)
Looks like you already have a willing model. (Cute Kid). :D
