I recently purchased one of Calumet's Genesis 200 strobes and had the modeling light burn out shortly after purchase. I contacted them and they overnighted one to me - score one for customer service. Replaced the light - careful not to touch it - and same thing, contacted them again and they overnighted a new strobe.

It is nice to see a company in this economy still have excellent customer service.

Just wanted to pass along a attaboy to Calumet.

I love Calumet, I had one of their tripods that broke and they just took it and get me a new one. Awesome.

Same type of good experience with Calumet here. I had an Autopole damaged in transit. Calumet overnighted a replacement and had the damaged one picked up the following day. Couldn't possibly ask for better than that.

They're a good outfit. And they're open during those Jewish holidays when B&H and Adorama are closed.

Interesting, I always wondered why B&H closed for some Holidays that I was not familiar with. Now that you point out that those are Jewish holidays, why do they close on those holidays? Are the owners Jewish or are most employees Jewish for example?

The owners are. They are also closed on Saturdays. www.bhphoto.com (external link) and you get a notice they are closed for online ordering until 9:30pm.
