I have an XTi (400D) with 1.5yrs left on extended warranty, it's in excellent condition with about ~12,000 pics taken with it.

I also have a Canon grip for it which I could include or sell seperatly. Also about 4 batteries (1 Canon and several sterlingtek).

How much do you think this is worth, and what could I trade it for (with the grip included)? I'm so used to my 30D now looking through the viewfinder on the Rebel is like looking through a pin-hole.

It's not a bad idea to keep it as a back up camera body.

I definatly want to have 2 bodies. It's just a matter of do I want to have 2 that have more similar controls (ie a 30D and 40D). Today I used my 30D and XTi at a wedding (I was a second shooter) and I didn't really have too many issues with the controls though. I think I will just wait and eventually if/when I feel the need to get a body upgrade then I will sell the Xti and get a 60d/5dmkWhatever as the main body. I don't want to ever sell the 30D because it's one of the cameras my wedding photog used to shoot my wedding (he just upgraded to 5dii and sold it to me). At the moment I'm happy with how both bodies perform. Also I think the XTi would be easier for my wife to use, since all the info is displayed on the LCD and the buttons are easy to find.
