How well does the Tokina 11-16mm work with full frame cameras, i.e. 5dmk2? Anyone have samples of full frame shots at 11mm???

it doesn't work on FF cameras at 11mm.

if you want something that wide on FF, get the sigma 12-24

You'll get vignetting all the way up to 15mm. You can only use it at 16mm. Or at least, that's what I see through the viewfinder of my film EOS.

Thought I saw others say that it works at 14, 15 and 16 on FF.

Awesome. A 14-16mm lens!

if it works well at 14mm some would say that's a hell of a bargain :D.

I have both 5D Mark 2 and Tokina 11-16mm. I'd use the lens from 14.5mm-16mm. At 14mm, I can still see some (not much) vignetting at the corners. By 14.5mm, I could hardly, if any, notice vignetting on the corners.

I'd *love* to see some pics, if you could. Fullsize, or some accompanying 100% crops, would also be much appreciated.

Full-size files are approx. 8MB each. I don't know how to email or host a 8MB files. If you know a way, you can PM me and I'll try my best. Here are the resized ones though. No PP, jpeg straight out of the camera. First one is at 11mm and second is at 14mm. EXIF should still be intact.

This one is at 16mm. I hope these examples help show the vignetting effect.

Thanks for the pics! Perhaps a few 100% crops from the center and corners? Maybe a few at f/2.8 and f/11 in addition to the f/5.6 pics posted?

You know how it is -- give an inch, and... : )

If you would like to see what the Sigma 12-24 is capable of on a 5D (taken on a mkI) - Have a look at http://clarity-rebirth.co.uk/full.jpg (external link)

I know its not your original question but if I recall correctly the canon 10-22 can be modified and used at close to 11mm on a full frame. Granted this was on a 1D, I don't see how that would change anything.
