I decided to do something completely stupid today as the weatherman called for only a 40% chance of rain so I figured I'd press my luck and head down to the local park and try capturing some shots for HDR processing as the sky was dark and figured this would be a good chance to get some decent cloud shots.
As luck would have it, 5 minutes after I got there, the sky opened up and it started to rain. Lightly at first and then a full torrential downpour! Luckily my camera and lens are weather sealed so the only real concern was keeping the front of the lens dry but it was difficult to manage trying to shoot in the rain while clumsily holding a small umbrella that leaked pretty badly so I got soaked to the bone and my camera and lens were completely wet but once home, I got out of my wet things, poured myself a giant rum and coke and commenced to start processing my water logged shots. The camera worked like a charm through the rain so kudos to Canon for putting reliable weather seals on the 1DsMkII.
All are HDR's. Some blended with an infra red process as well.
Cheers!
