Hoya 58mm Circular Polarizing filter - $18.49 + 6.73 shipping = $25.22 from Cameta Camera via Amazon Marketplace (external link)

Overstock.com has it for 25.99 (external link) (not sure about shipping) as well as other Hoya filters at what seem to be decent prices.

Upon further research, I would not recommend the Overstock.com filters which are mostly Hoya G series. According to what seems to be objective testing with a spectrophotometer, the G series from Hoya scored very, very poorly: http://www.lenstip.com …_results_and_summary.html (external link)

The last three filters – the Hoya UV G series, King UV and Tiffen UV – were no better than good quality window glass. It is cruel to say but true. During our testing we put a piece of regular glass and a very worn out lens from our colleague’s reading glasses in the spectrophotometer to compare the results. As far as the light transmission is concerned the old reading glass lens was much better than all three filters, and the regular window glass wasn’t much further behind. Too bad…

The Hoya Circular Polarizing filter (58mm) from Amazon/Cameta Camera is still a good deal at $25, as B&H and Adorama both have these for ~ $45
