I am currently using ZoomBrowser EX software that came with the camera. It had been doing an adequte job getting my pictures from the camera to my computer.

But I would now like to download them directly to a RW CD in my D drive. This software does not see to allow me to Change the target to anything but my hard drive.

Anyone have any ideas. Maybe I need to use another software that will do the job for me.

Thanks for any suggestions, in advance.
Tom McGuinness

I drag 'n drop from my CF directly to my HD (just as easily to CD-R/RW) using a CF reader and PowerDesk, that is an enhanced Windows Explorer.

With the CF reader, the transfers are quicker and can be done in bulk, even with the folder structure intact, along with panaramas and movies if you are so inclined as well.

You should be able to do this via Windows Explorer (unless you have a mac ;) in which case you would need another application).

There may not be a possibility in your CD-RW drive to just drag-n-drop files to CD. You may have to first download the photos from CF-card to a hard-drive, and after that burn them to a recordable CD with external CD-burning software, which may have come with your CD-RW drive.

If you are not doing so already.

Use something like Adaptec/roxio's "Direct CD" (there are probably others to) to make your CD-RW a drive that can be used like any other hard drive or floppy. Then your CD-RW will show up as a valid destination.

Well, the best way to do this is basically get yourself a Card Reader (I highly recommend the 6 in 1 reader) as you have the flexibility to trade pictures with your friends using other form factors.

With this type of readers using USB connection, your OS will automatically create a few removable drives. All you needed to do then is put in your microdrive and drag and drop like a FLOPPY DRIVE! That's it!
