Spent this morning at the track, had to leave at lunchtime to go to work, but had a great morning.
Got a couple of nice heat haze shots, and discovered a new angle, that works quite well with a 300mmf2.8 + 2xTC
anyway, onto the pics, Feel free to comment

I believe its a HQ Shape GTS Monaro

a hot 2 door variant of the kingswood i believe (although i could be, and normally am wrong, when talking about older cars)

I dont know why its wearing a Chevy badge though

I really can't be bothered to peek between garbled lettering pasted slap bang in the middle of the picture.

Reallly, if you are so paranoid anout your pics ending up on the net somewhere just don't bother posting them.

I dont know what gearbox is in it, its running in the historic touring class.

the HQ Class do run the three speed gearbox, 202 motor (i think) and a control tyre, control suspension package, control cam, basically the cars are all the same, so after 8 laps are still in a tight little group crossing the finish line

did that really need a comment ?
my watermark has been shrunk dramatically over what it was last year, and is there for a reason, i have had my work stolen before, and am sick of it

Cant blame the OP for protecting his images. Seeing the old HQ brings back memories of the 40+ fields we used to have racing in NZ. As you mentioned all very similar and was always 5 cars crossing the line side by side for the 1st place honors which made for great racing!
