Going to Jamaica- some questions for you guys

I'm going to Jamaica this summer and would like to know of any places worth visiting/shooting. I will be staying at Montego Bay. I think trips across the island might not be feasible (3 hours each way I believe). I will be there for about a week. Any input is greatly appreciated as it will help me finalize my plans.

Also, which lenses should I bring? I (will) have the following lenses:

18-55mm IS
55-250mm IS
24-70mm 2.8 (should be here by end of month)
70-200mm 2.8 IS
10-22mm (I can borrow this from a friend)

I shouldn't have any issue using the Canon charger over there right (only have 2 batteries)? And last but not least, has anyone had problems with the heat and moisture in the tropics due to frequent swapping of lenses?

I wouldn't bring too much gear. The 24-70 and 10-22 would probably be sufficient. I went about two years ago and hardly shot anything with my 30D since we were in or near the water most of the time. You might want to consider a waterproof P&S for snorkeling and for Dunns River Falls (a must trip - just try and go on a day when there are no cruise ships in port).

For the most part, you will want to stay at your resort and only leave on guided tours. You absolutely do not want to drive around on your own.

Which resort are you staying at?

I will be staying at the Rose Hall resort. I don't know if there's already a plan for Dunns River Falls but I will try to make it out there. I would love to visit Blue Mountains (and buy some coffee) but it's all the way over on the other side of the island. Driving is definitely not an option as I heard it's dangerous and should be left to the locals.

To answer one of your original questions, yes, I did have some issues with moisture due to heat and humidity when bringing gear into air conditioned rooms. Keep a few large ziplock bags handy and put your gear in it before entering the air conditioning and you should be fine.

Do be careful to avoid getting salt water on the electronics

when you come to jamaica a few great areas to visit are :
-dunns river falls/dolphin cove/mystic mountain----all 3 are a stones throw from each other and the 10-22 will get great shots especially when on the skytrain
-negril especially for its fantastic sunsets
bamboo avenue/y.s falls and lovers leap if you have time ,these are kind of far away from the usual tourist areas
as to which lens to use, i recently went on vacation with a bag full of lens but found that the 18-200mm and the 10-22mm was all i used
