I am posting this in the hope that I may alevaite some of the simular questions asked in regard to this topic with limited solutions.
recently my laptop just stopped responding to my Ixus v2. I reloaded driver so many times I literaly came close to tears. nothing worked. Windows could see the camera, but would not communicate with it. I tinkered for about 9 hours utill, whallah i got it to work.
All had to do is go to the control panel, administrative tools, services
There is a service called "still image service". How it was disabled is beyond me. Probably happened after a good night at the pub. Just start this service and suddenly your camera and win2k are chatting like old buddies.
