I am sitting here watching a space walk and seen one of the Astronauts taking some photo with a "wrapped" still camera (while in space)... That got me looking to see what make/model they used. So far all I could find was that "it could be" a Nikon (like I said "could be"). In that search I found this http://www.nikonweb.com/nasaf4/ (external link) , But the camera I seen one of the Astronauts using just didn't seem as big to me as the one in my last link, it seemed to be the size of the pro size body, as in a Nikon D3 or Canon 1D.

Anyone know for sure what DSLR they use while performing spacewalks?

In any case while searching, I found this http://photodoto.com/dslrs-sensor-dust-and-nasa (external link) (um the reason of my title ;) ). Just thought it was funny, how some of us (me) flip out over some dust. I know I know, this is the net and it is very possible there is no dust in the pic in that link... But again I just thought it was a bit funny.

Nikons, yes. They bought some D2XS in 2007 (external link).
