Well, they're back.

1. These two guys stuck together for a while. Soon after this they decided to split up.

2. This is the last shot in a series of this little guy trying to get this adult's attention. So cute.

3. Stalking a squirrel that's in the tree to my left. Unfortunately I had to turn to my left to follow him and when I did I made too much noice and scared him off.

4. Acting like he owns the place.

5. Striking a pose. I'm pretty sure he's aware of how cute he is.

I bet if you took some dry dog food or small chopped up bits of cheese or similar yummies it wouldn't take long for these little guys to really start to pose for you. I am amazed that they are so relaxed in broad daylight. I would love an opportunity to photograph foxes. I only ever see them at a distance slinking around my paddocks.

These guys were playing hard to get for most of the morning. I followed them around for about 2 hours to get these. They'd only sit in one place for a few minutes at a time.

Wow amazing,

I have seen foxes once or twice here in the city but they were gone before you could get any camera gear near them!

They look so relaxed - or perhaps they aren't? What about road casualties? Are they aware of cars etc.?

Great shots and thanks for sharing.

I wish everyone would put their location under their screen name.....I really hate not knowing where people see the wildlife they post pictures of!

There have been 1 or 2 casualties over the years. But not a lot. They're skittish enough that they jump at the sound of almost anything. The only time I've seen them hesitate is when 2 cars approach an intersection at the same time. For some reason they want to stay in the road instead of just darting to the sidewalk.

Fixed, though, in my defense, they're all attached to a map on Flickr ;)
