Ebay seems to have several different kinds - some use 6 batteries and some use 8. At $60, that's a considerable savings over a new CP-E4 or even a used CP-E3.

Just curious. What's been your experience?

Thanks to the Canon rebates, I now have a new 580 EX II. Football is just around the corner.
Thanks
Mike

Mike,
I have the 8 AA battery pack that I use with my 580exII. It's the same one as on ebay (Yongnuo) but I bought it from Flash Zebra. It came really quickly and it works GREAT.

thanks Kelly. However, since this thread was started a few months ago, I have since bought two of the battery packs from flashzebra and they work just fine on the 580 EX II and my 540EZ.
