Thank you for listening.

Some stuff that says "Canon" on it and a happy trigger finger.

That's a mighty broad brush to paint with, and some will not agree....including people like me.

Care to explain the situation?

I'd be interested in your bad experience as well. I'm actually considering purchasing an Epson 2880...

very frustrating experience trying to get some help with my new 2880. Very limited customer service hours, no 800 number so I had to pay for the call (philly to california), long wait times, when I finally got someone on the phone - at the number that was in the box, I was advised that I had the wrong department and he transferred me to another department (the "wide carriage printer department", where I was on hold for another 15 minutes before I finally hung up... To me, that sucks.

On the other hand, the 2880 is excellent!

You probably could have found a solution to your problem with a quick online search, rather than railing against Epson's overall customer service.
From my experience, they've been pretty good.

i agree, i was having trouble w/ the cd/dvd printing tray.

and they transferred me to india or somewhere to get help. it was useless.

i finally figured it out on my own. not near as good as canon's customer service.

I agree that EPSON should at least have an 800 number to call. I've spent so much time talking to their TS and CS and all I have to show for it are 3 bad RX595's with a bunch of ink cartridges that I can't use. I'm done with EPSON and will most likely chuck this printer into the garbage without ever printing a single page. Back to HP for me.

I guess I take my unlimited calling phone service for granted ... I thought everyone would be on a similar plan nowadays.

I can't remember the last time I made a toll call.
