60D - Canon Marketing Strategy Question

Hi, noticed a URL the other day offering Firmware upgrades for the 60D and then a whole lot other URLs chatting about the new features in the 60D.

Examples:

The firmware upgrade offering was a spelling error on D60

My questions are:

1. Is there any reliable Canon location that offers information on upcoming products?
2. Or is it a case that Canon keeps it all a secret for the big release day?

I am a supporter of the "skip a version and get the next one". My 40D will have to behave itself .
