I wanted it simple yet effective while still evoking a sense of personality and professional style

Bokeh is just selective focus, so stop trying to feel special by calling it Bokeh :)

bigger font on the back, imo. Also, the M kinda reads like a W. And the brackets bug me but I'm not sure why.

A couple things strike me on the web site:
- The vertical bars between all the options make the two lines hard to read, and (I feel) are quite dated. I've been doing simple nav bars like that with a centered dot, and feel it accomplishes the task without getting in the way.
- Probably of more import, your web site leads off with two pictures of a sink... are those part of your Portraits, Urban Photography, Pets, Landscapes, or Event portfolios? If not, then why are you featuring something that isn't from your typical offerings?

That could send business down the drain. :)

M kinda looks like a W.

Do you have films and/or advertisements under you belt? If not I'm not sure you should put focus on the 'director' and 'videographer' aspects. It looks like you're trying to be a jack of all trades, which is fine I guess if you're running a studio and have employees dedicated to each field but if it's just you it seems a little pretentious. What I would take away by looking at your card and/or website is that you're either really talented in which case you ought to show of the work you have in each area or you're either padding your resume so to speak. If you don't have significant and impressive video work I wouldn't even mention it.

And your choices for photography are an odd mix: portraits, urban photography, pets, landscape and events. Again, unless you have significant experience and a great portfolio for each of these I wouldn't mention them and I'm not sure you should have them all together on one site. Pets doesn't seem to fit in at all and neither does landscape.

I don't know what you're good at but I'd recommend narrowing your scope some or at least seperating them as different brands on different websites.

Many photographers have blog which is more or less a hub to the photographer's work where they can lead people to flickr galleries and to their professional portfolios and/or business sites. It's certainly possible to market yourself to different clients but you want to target those clients with the site and/or works that they are looking for not with stuff completely unrelated.

Someone looking for a wedding photog doesn't care if you do landscapes and urban photography and IMO will avoid you if they see you're not focused on their niche. It's not entirely logical but it is how people are. I don't care if you dabble in all kinds of photography and have ten professional sites dedicated to each one as long as when I go to your fashion site I get fashion photography that meets my tastes. If I go there and see fashion, kids and pets and some landscape for good measure I'll go somewhere else.

I have a bachelors of fine arts in filmmaking. and about 3 years professional experience doing so. so yes I believe I can add that up there.

I have always done photography as a kid and just started doing my own thing. the site is still in its conception stage. IM still going thru a few hundred photos im looking to put up. and narrowing down the field.

Don't misunderstand me, I wasn't saying you didn't have any experience in film, I just questioned the mention of it if you didn't have that much experience and including it with the photography side. Just my two cents.

Im sorry if I came off snarky, it wasnt my intention. Im just showing it to new faces besides my web developer and other professional contacts I have worked with.

I appreciate the CC though. All the pieces will fall together once the website is launched.

I've always encouraged people to put an actual photograph on their business cards. It seems like a wasted opportunity to just have your logo when you could be putting your very best photograph out there.
