I'd rather not deal with "mail in rebates".....but I'll take what I can get. Any deals out there?

I also HATE mail in rebates but places like B&H have the mail in san disk mail in rebates going on--- I ordered three new 16 gig this week.
Newegg has Transcend 16 gig cards-- for $53 --- they were $47 a few weeks ago. Not as fast as SanDisk but pretty solid cards.

There used to be some great deals out there a few months ago with Sandisk rebates, but I haven't seen anything particularly special since then (especially with the 16GB cards). I've heard reports of the larger (>16gb) kingston cards not working properly in certain EOS models but I have no firm proof or sources. You may want to do a search before purchasing a kingston. Personally if there is any chance of failure of a product that is so mission critical, I would spend the extra coin.

That card is pretty unanimously dogged as a bum deal. Not bad for an absolutely backup, but I'd never use it on a job.

There have been a ton of good prices on SD cards but nothing comparable for CF. Maybe CF has a lower supply now because of the transition to SD in most or all of the point and shoots out there.
