I downloaded the freeware www.startrails.de
and have never been able to get it installed properly. It keeps telling me there is a bug in it. What can I do, or what other programs can I use?

Windows XP Media Centre is what I use...perhaps it doesn't work on other platforms. May 21, 2009 12:35 | #5 That's exactly what I did. It unzips, but when I try to run it, it says there is a bug. I did a screen shot to show you what I mean: When I try to debug, nothing happens at all. Are there any other apps that do star trails? Elizabeth

Have you tried running the Windows Updater (or gone directly to Microsoft's site) to see if there are any updates to your .NET framework?

May 21, 2009 14:58 | #7 bishop13, that is exactly what I did, with the same results, no less. I'm not really sure what is going on. I even deleted the original download to see if there was something wrong because I had NOT downloaded the latest .NET framework. Still did the same thing. Hmmmm... Elizabeth

Have you tried downloading the zip file again and extracting to/running from another folder aside from the Temporary Internet Files folder (maybe the desktop)?
