Very sharp lens if you can give up 2mm of wide angle. I considered that lens but am fearful of the flaring problems that many people seem to report. On the positivie side, people have also said it is built like a tank and you gotta like the f2.8. But flaring kills it for me. Sony A7C, Sony A6000, 5D Mark II, 40D, 350d

People get scared of different things you have to face with a lens, but most lenses have their issues at all price points. If a company made a lens that had no problems then people would complain about the price. I learn to deal with issues that I have with my gear and work around it. I don't have the money to be fretting over issues like flare, you just learn how to work around it. There is no "all perfect" lens. Never heard of flaring being a problem with it Taylor

People were dumping their 10-22’s and the prices for used went down to $475 in anticipation of moving to full frame. I too wanted to move to FF but I held onto my 10-22 for 5 more months and sold it for $575. I should have kept if for another 5 months and gotten even more!

I think it's short sighted to save a few bucks and buy a lens you will not be happy with. Many people are reporting increased flaring on this site and I am choosing to go with that. I have learned that when you buy cheap, you get cheap. Why should I 'deal with it' when I don't have to by making a smarter choice (IMHO)? Sony A7C, Sony A6000, 5D Mark II, 40D, 350d
