Folks I'm having to rebuilt the Canon software on my laptop.

When I try to find all the Canon software for my camera, all I have been able to find to download is 'Updater' software, which appears to mean I have to install everything from my original CD and then go use these updates.

Does anyone know a link to the latest software that I can download and install afresh?

many thanks

Jamie

If you know any Canon shooters locally, maybe they will let you borrow
their discs.

have you tried using the updater software? I'm about to reinstall myself, and from reading the notes about the updater software it implied that it would install fresh too. i'll let you know after i've installed mine.

whoops, yeah it won't install :( guess i have to dig out the discs then...

Re: Somewhere I can download EOS utility?
You can actually trick windows into installing the 'update'...

Google wins.

As for the updater, those should be available on canons site

Folks, many thanks for all your feedback. I didn't make it clear I had the disks, I was just trying to be lazy.

However installing from the original disks then downloading and applying the updates seems a tad safer than messing with the registry.

Many thanks

Jamie

You don't need to install the original, you can just leave the cd in the drive, then run the updater, it will check you have the cd and just do a fresh install from the updater.

I ran the 3.6 version on a clean system, all it did was ask me for the cd, it checked the cd and was happy to install 3.6 from there.
