Random question time... (a friend and I were discussing this earlier)

Is there a lens you are wishing for right now (realistically or in your dreams)? If you could buy one right now, which would you buy and why?

ONE handsome husband + THREE cute puppies + ONE 30D + THREE pieces of glass (Nifty Fifty, 18-55IS, 55-250) = ONE happy EmmyLou!

50mm F/1.2 L... the bokeh THE BOKEH.

oh god. too bad I'd have to go FF to maximize its potential. what am I saying? too bad I can't afford it anyway.

but seriously, when I shot film, my favorite lens was a nikkor F/1.8, and the only thing I didn't like about it was it wasn't fast enough.

70-200 f4 L as my first L-lens. Already got rid of it's predecessor so I guess it's going to happen soon.

Look behind you! A three-lensed camera!

I really want to get a Sigma 10mm f/2.8 (external link) but not my top priority as I'm getting lenses that I know I'll use a lot.

One day though...

I think my dream lens would be a 30-80mm f2 zoom that is sharp wide open and not too big.

Realistically I should be happy with the 30mm 1.4 I just bought, but I am already planning on adding an 85mm 1.8 and UWA as soon as I can convince the wife that I need them.

Top of the Wishlist:
1) EF 17-70mm f/2.0L IS USM
2) EF 70-200mm f/2.0L IS USM

It would be as sharp wide open @ f/2.0 as my 70-200 f/4L IS USM is @ f/4.0

The ULTIMATE 2-lens kit.

Unrealistically, the 1200L

Realistically... 70-200 f/2.8L IS mkII (yep, I'm waiting/saving for Canon...).

If you don't know, this lens (the MkII) isn't out yet, I'm just saving for it, so when it does come out I can get one. :)

I will get the 85 1.8 and possibly the 135L
