I have a bad itch that needs to be scratched: The 50L is calling my name.
Buying a new one here in Denmark, the prices start north of 1900$.
It's not the most common lens on the B&S boards of POTN and FM... They pop up from time to time tho... At 1100 - 1200$. Thats not very far from the current 1350$ price B&H wants for a brand spanking new one. If they had them in stock, that is. But painful experience has taught me that boxes labelled "B&H PHOTO NEW YORK" tend to get picked out by customs, thus negating any savings. (Import tax is 12,5%, then add sales tax: 25%). If I buy from another EU country, like the UK, Germany or France, there is no tax at all.
The sweetest deal for me would be a relatively new used 50L, sold from within the EU, but where do I find it? Naturally I monitor the danish photo sites etc, but is there something like Craigslist in the UK?
