Shot in the park with natural light and fill flash.
Canon 300D with the kit lens. CC Welcome.

(The park was very crowded.. I was fortunate to find a good spot with little noise in the background)

Nice shot! I would probably attempt to clone out those bright red things (people?) in the background, as they are really distracting. Other than that, though, very nice!

I agree about the red people being distracting and would have probably opted to get an angle without them in the picture in the first place. I would also have tried to get a picture without the doll stuck in the tree, as the girl would have stood alone and been the focal point of the picture, the doll to me is distracting. Other than that I think it’s a nice picture and you can never go wrong with cherry blossoms as a back drop even if you’re a real armature photographer like me.

Thanks for the comments. I also did not like the doll. That was my wife and daugheter's idea. It is an "American Girl" doll (apparently something special) -- notice that my daughter and the doll are wearing the same dress.

I will try to PP out the red. It was a wedding party being photographed. There were several wedding parties in the park on that day.. surprising considering how crowded it was because of the "Cherry Bossism Festival" going on. What you can's see are all the people just outside of my frame.

I was also disappointed.. I had this opportunity to shoot while my new camera and lenses were in-transit. It killed me to take this shot with the Rebel and kit lens after the better equipment had been orders.

Thanks!
