Wasn't exactly sure what I was doing as babies really don't take direction all that well so this was extremely difficult for me. I must remember to bring squeaky toys with me though, they seem to work for attention grabbers. I had to settle for shaking a bottle of aspirin. By the end of the session I had aspirin powder in the bottle :(

Do you have a reflector? How many lights are you using?

At the time that I shot this little guy (two months ago) I only had two lights.....I now have 3 lights and a reflector that I use. Yeah he has shadows that really could have used some fill. Is that what you were referring to?

Yes. I would also dial it down a bit but may already have if you got a third light.

Yes, meter helps now too :D I've learned that I just completely suck at reading a histogram properly :(

I use my histogram....but I know a lot of Pros who don't. They mostly know their lighting so well and what they want to achieve they just know what settings to use.

That would be my critique too. The lighting is pretty harsh on all of these. But looks like that's already been covered.
I don't use my histogram at all, I believe you can get your lighting down without it!

I agree, once you get used to your gear you just know what you need and what settings will get you there.....which is what I'm still working on :D
