I have never heard of camo tights but I see what you mean the overs do not cover the whole lens. I have had a look and have yet to find a lens cover that I think will do the job.

However, I frequently spook the birds by not remaining still enough or get impatient. I think that the comments above about behavior that startles animals is very accurate.
