Gallery Size

I was wondering what is a good number of photos to have in a gallery. I got photos from a concert that had 7 artist preforming. I decided on 102 photos that I want to put in a gallery. Should I put them all together or in a gallery for each artist? I would also like to know what other do in this situation.

I have 20-25 thumbnails per gallery, depending on the format (landscape or portrait).

How about putting them together after style? Quiet images, loud images and so on

I didn't like the typical gallery, so years ago, I decided to learn basic HTML/CSS and create my own galleries. Recently I started using a database-driven gallery using PHP/MySQL....much easier! I have a good friend that knows PHP/MySQL, so he helped with that part, but the layout was my design...good or bad.

It's not bad. Im using SSP for portfolio images and am looking for a gallery/shopping cart that i can use on my site to sell prints from. I have looked at a lot of different carts and i just dont like what im getting. I did the whole custom coded gallery thing for a while. Gave up on it because i could never get the photos to scale correctly and they always looked just a little off.

Here is my site that I will be displaying these images on adrianrevelsphotog.com​. This should give you a better idea of what I am dealing with. My thing is a realize that people have short attention spans, so 100 images in one gallery is not going to work. But this is a complete set of a concert.
