My brother whom runs a large auto body shop called yesterday saying; You should really come see this!
I get there to find a 1965 Mercury Cyclone!
I grabbed a few quick shots of it, as I had to be somewhere else within 20 minutes, but I think this was worth the delay.
When I got there, this is what I found.

One of the emblems.

The 427 Side oiler engine.

The interior with metal turned dash. (including 4 spd)

It was a real treat to hear that 427 running when my brother backed it out for a better shot, albeit in the harsh Sun light.
Here She is.

I was told that a proper photo shoot of this car might be possible in the future. I hope so. :)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Good find!

It looks like it needs a road test, too? ;)

My Brother said the guy picked it up today, and when leaving gave it a good jab on the throttle. I'm told the car is very quick. (550 HP)
Also found out it's not an original Cyclone with a side oiler engine. The car left the factory with a 289, so the car is actually a clone. Sorry about the wrong information. :(
The car still looks very convincing, and the current engine is a Windsor punched out to 427 ci with a Demon carb. The engine was built to 550HP spec with 3:73 gears, so it would be a fun driver. ;)

Soon as I took a look at the motor I could tell it was a Windsor and not an FE. But those bored and stroked 351's cost almost as much as a repo FE 427 these days.
