Nissan Skyline

Saw this at a car show on a rooftop in jacksonville florida.

I really like skylines, i am not really a "car photographer" so the pic is only alright.

5d/28-70/tripod/ about a 1 sec exposure, maybe longer. it was quite dark.

Very nice image, but that's not a Skyline!

its a GT-R!

its a good angle though.

The light on it is very nice! Now try for that again with a better background, & maybe turn the wheel a bit.

Just saying... I know you couldn't move it.

technically it's not a Skyline at all.

the Skyline that Japan has is our American Inifiniti G35 coupe/sedan.

the GT-R is actually an entire step above the Skyline lineup of vehicles.

anywho, pretty cool shot. the sky background looks good against the car itself.

You know, I'm never like this about cars, imports especially, but I was driving down the road the other day and a silver GT-R passed me, I had no idea what it was when I first saw it, then I saw it was a GT-R. That car is truly AMAZING. It is one of the only times my jaw has literally DROPPED when I saw a car.

To sum it up, the GT-R has a huge new fan and I'm going to try and find the man that was driving it and ask him if I could photograph it!

there are several models of the skyline in japan. The AWD "top model" is the GT-R

In Japan the GT-R is a skyline.

I dont know as much about the way the models are marketed in the US, but i lived in Japan for 3 years.

This thing did have factory "Nissan" and "Skyline" and "GT-R" badges on it. not that it means anything, but that is pretty much just addressed to those who claim this may not actually be a Skyline.

Its all the same to me, because the car is far out of reach price-wise. Glad to see some people love this sexeh car as much as me.

People only say its not a Skyline because Nissan dropped the Skyline name off the R35. But puriests will always call it a Skyline

My local Nissan dealership, Brenner Nissan, actually had the very first "Nissan GTR" in my area. Luckily a friend of mine was interested in buying a Nissan so we stopped by unknowingly. The same salesman who sold my father his Quest pulled me aside and said hey "let me show you what we just got in." Hoping he wasn't going to rape me I following him back to their garage and there she was....in all her glory. That was an amazing day. The car had already been sold for about 6 months and finally came in. The owner was a dentist or something. I hope these cars get more popular it just puts a smile on my face every time I spot one. Hopefully Nissan will bring back the Silvia and perhaps have one over on this side of the Pacific They'll probably just call it an S16 and confuse everyone

You can call it a skyline if you want. GTR has always been a symbol of Nissans Skyline, you can also call it the R35 if you want as well. R32, R33, R34 and now... The R35.
