I use both sites, as they are both reliable and the UPS man knows me by name. He sends my neighbors boxes to me sometimes. :)

But make sure you know if they need a signature. Sometimes they do and you have to be home to receive it. Sometimes you should send it to your office, if you know what time the UPS delivery gets there.

We have recently changed our shipping targets, and you should find that orders for in-stock items placed on business days up to 5:00 P.M. are generally shipped the same day (subject to verification, as described below).

However, weekend orders, placed on Fridays after 1:00 P.M. will be processed on Monday.

Some orders might be subject to our verification procedure before we can process the order. For your protection from credit card fraud or identity theft, we may ask you to verify that you're the card owner or that the order and the ship-to information are legitimate. If your order requires verification you will receive an e-mail within one business day to advise you about the situation. You will need to respond promptly to this email to ensure that your order is shipped without further delays.

I hope this helps

Sincerely

Helen,

I ordered a bunch of products on thursday night around midnight. I was hoping that they would be shipped Friday (because of the long weekend and big delay this would cause in getting them to me) but I called and was told that they would not be shipped until Tuesday, even though I ordered them before you opened on Friday. Not really a big deal, but I was just wondering if that is typical. The items were in stock and there were not any credit card issues.

Could have slipped through the cracks or something - but is a thursday delivery supposed to be shipped friday or would it wait because of the holiday observance that goes on from friday-saturday (in this case friday-tuesday)?

I would have expected it to have been shipped on Friday; could you please send me your order number so I can check what happened: elen.oster@adoramacamera.com (external link)

I can personally attest to the customer service from Adorama. Amazing. I had a problem with my camera (and my baby was due in a couple of days) and they literally tracked me down]

Sending someone out to physically follow and then locate you from the last know position is pretty impressive, I'll admit.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

+1 for awesome adorama customer service...

My stuff mysteriously showed up on my doorstep today when it only got shipped yesterday due to a mixup last week. I didn't pay for overnight shipping - but alas...here we are, and I am one happy camper - Adorama has a new customer in me for sure!

I buy my stuff from whoever is cheapest. Adorama usually has free shipping on stuff I want so I go with them over B&H. Also Adorama has a higher percentage back using MS Live Cashback (search.live.com/cashback) so that's another factor for me as well.
