noisy 70-200 F4L

Just wondered if they are meant to be noisy. It snaps into focus quickly and is pin sharp but you can hear it as it does it. The lens is about a year old and is no IS

I have that lens and it does make a sort of rolling sound for me when focusing...

Same here but if you want to hear a noisy lens try the 300mm. IS L
