My step daughter has a web site for a charity bike ride that she is doing and I took some pictures of her. She picked out the one she wants on the site but when she puts it up it looks way off from the original. Any idea why this would be and if so what can be done if anything?

Thanks in advance.
Tom

Way off in what way? Do you mean the colors are wrong? If that's the case, you probably didn't save the image in the correct color space. With the image in Photoshop, go to the Edit menu and choose "Convert to Profile...". Make sure the Destination Space is set to sRGB and click OK. Now save your file and it should look ok in a web browser.

If that's not what you meant, then I think we need more info on just how it looks wrong.

That last place you will get good color matching in on the web. I would guess 99% of monitors are not calibrated, and 65% are just as they came out of the box. So everybody is seeing something different. There is nothing you can do about that. But I would do as mentioned above. Just do what you can to make the original the best it can be. After that you have no control at all.
