I just purchased the S45 based on all of the great reviews. I couldn't try it out in the camera store as the battery wasn't charged. This is my first digital although I did play around with the Fuji Finepix 4100 and it's LCD was extremely sharp and clear in all but bright sunlight. Well, imagine my disappointment when I first look at the S45 LCD screen indoor and the screen is so blurry that no detail can be seen. The only way to get a sharp picture is to hold the camera at arm's lenght. I also took it outdoor and same problem. Is this normal? If so, then I will return it and try a different brand. Thanks.

I thought the LCD wasn't too sharp either until I changed the image compression to Superfine.
If this doesn't help, it sounds like you LCD is faulty.
