I took this photo earlier today at one of the Memorial Day remembrances in town.

Can't decide between the color version or the B&W version.
Also, if you see anything else that the photos could benefit from, please let me know.

I cropped the B&W one to be closer, but wonder if I left the crop the same as the color one would be better.

GREAT photo!

I prefer color.

Did your camera naturally do that shadowing on the borders or did you enhance it in PS? (I'm a newbie to photography; trying to learn as I go!)

Nice, powerful photo. I like the B&W between the two, though I think the first may need some saturation and it would then be a harder decision.

Did the vignetting in Photoshop. Just followed Scott Kelby's instructions in his book.

Try giving the original image an antique look and post it. If not the black and white photo seems to be the better of the two.

colour for me, the B+W is too flat....maybe extra some extra contrast may boost the B+W

Color with that crop, desaturated color works very well here, IMO. To me I like the B&W but that says "old" or perhaps maybe "timeless". Color, even muted, says "here and now". Both versions are powerful and opinion hereseems to be somewhat split. What do you want to say?

Great image.
