Will canon honor a rebate from Amazon? It requires that both items be on the same receipt. Amazon will ship one item from Amazon and the other from Adorama.

Canon rebates are instant rebates. The price you get charged is final.

...? dr1ft answered your question. Unless we're mistakening your question. If that's the case, then please restate it.

There is no need for both items to be on the same receipt, it's not a mail in rebate. The amount you pay during the transaction is the the price of the items minus the rebate.

ie. instant

are you talking about the previous rebates? i.e. buy a specific camera, lens, and flash?

Does the rebate you are inquiring about involve a camera like the 50D and a printer like the Pixma Pro9500 MkII?

... = I was going to post something but I needed to look it up first.

Yes that is the rebate. I just realized it isnt a canon rebate, I had all of them jumbled in a folder on my desktop and got them mixed up.
Does anyone else know of any 50D rebates out there?
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, that's just an Adorama rebate.

You can usually go to http://www.usa.canon.com/rebates (external link) and it will redirect you to the current page of rebates and special offers.

Currently Canon is running a rebate on the 50D when purchased with a lens.
$300 instant when purchased with the EF-S 18-200mm
$150 instant when purchased with EF 70-300mm
$150 instant when 28-135mm kit purchased with EF 70-300mm.

At B&H:
1599 for 18-200mm kit. Rebate applied
1799 for 28-135mm kit + 18-200mm lens Rebate applied

While the body only goes for 1199.95 and 18-200mm goes for $595. (No rebates)

If you add both to you're cart separately, the price is 1794.95. But it doesn't show the rebate. Only the kit gets the rebate pricing... but the Canon rebate would seem to imply its body + lens not kit only.
Am I missing something here? Seems it cost MORE to purchase the body with that lens as a kit than to purchase the items separately before the rebate.

Best price I know of new and reputable dealer is from Roberts Imaging. $999 for Body Only and 595 for 18-200mm. And that's without showing any kind of rebate. Don't know if you could call them up and tell them the order should be eligible for the rebate. If so, then yeah its probably a really good deal if your in the market for a 50D and 18-200mm lens.

I just checked this out. How is this possible? I think the cheapest I've found all over is around $1100. Is this deal missing something that others are including?

Well even by that pricing...$1200 for body + 600 for the lens, $1800 versus $1600 for the 18-200 kit...

Theoretically you just have to sell the 18-200 for $400 to end up "even" but i think you could get $500 for it easily and end up paying $100 less for your 50D...

I dunno if id use it, but if i had the money i probubly would get the kit...

I'm planning to gift my 30D possibly, and i need a lens to go with it...so i might get either the 18-55 or the 18-200 kit, since its my dad, He'd probubly like the 18-200 for the all-in-one convenience because he travels with 2 bags usually, and the 30D and the 18-200 would fit easily into his bag.....

And before you say point and shoot, he wants an SLR for the better indoor performance and the better bigger viewfinders..also he has really big hands and isnt a big fan of most point and shoots....plus in his spare time if he wants he can borrow my lenses [And would most likely..]
