the sheep and their new lambs were all around
they were there this morning, but I thought they would have turned in for the night when I went out
they keep their kiddies up very late

WOW! what great shots, that first one must be the Queen of the Hill she certainly looks like she posed just for you. The lambs look cute jumping about.

Real good shots, Marie. Don't you think the sheep are embarassed by all the colors sprayed on them? I suppose there's a good reason, but consider the poor sheep.

Beautiful shots. Hope to make it to Ireland sometime!
The sheep are marked--usually after shots or treatment of some kind--so you can tell who has been done.

The World Sheepdog Trial is in Ireland this year. We have a lot of people from the US going over with their dogs to compete--now that the import regulations are relaxed a bit -making it possible to do so.

The only colour that they should be embarrassed by is the blue on their rumps. That was not sprayed on it was rubbed on by a device worn by the ram called a raddle or sire-sign. This allows farmers to mix sheep that have been tupped at different times and then separate them again for lambing.

I should never have left the farm :D
